Following my interest in the art market place through irisindex.com, I decided to create a local collaborative of Brooklyn artists, playfully called "Christys". This name encapsulates the entire project by its dual-reference to Christie's Auction House coupled with an urban dictionary style mispelling defined as "a girl who is wild and free". Together with artist James Powers, I began throwing events in Fall 2014 with the intent to abandon high conceptualism for affordable sweatshirts.
